on Bahrami - there's an autobiography that apparently is well worth a read....'Le court des miracles' or 'The court Jester'in english

Bahrami also talks about his friendships with some of the great tennis players - Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Ilie Nastase, Henri Leconte - and many others. Inspirational, funny and truly original, this is much more than a sports autobiography. It is the story of one man's success against all the odds, set against the backdrop of a country in the midst of revolution and war. But, above all, it is Mansour Bahrami's undiminished passion for tennis and his amazing adventures on and off the court which make this book an exceptional read.
only started playing tennis at 13 in Teheran...was only a ballboy for rich cunts until then and wasn't allowed to play the game

Learned the game on his own and never had a coach....when he played his first Roland Garros he actually was homeless/illegal in France

probably the most entertaining player the game has seen

Saw the Konta clip though, she had 33 unforced errors, felt the question was warranted.
Riske played brilliantly in the previous round Saturday I think it was.

Serena is a tank.
Serious question marks hang over her missing drugs tests and refusing to take tests tbh. She's in Lance Armstrong territory, go before you're caught.

I'd say there's big questions over every major sport.

Very true.
It just doesn't seem to have alot of questions being asked, the BBC in particular are fawning over Rafa and RF and the two of them are thumping guys almost half their age around the courts.

Except in her case there are clear examples of her avoiding drug testing.

There remains a massive cloud over her wins imho.

I didn't know that. Any handy links or is this just general knowledge I somehow managed to avoid acquiring?

S. Williams v Halep for the Final. Should be entertaining. Looking forward to the Men's Semi-Finals tomorrow, would love to see Federer do it, but I think Nadal is on fire.
