Default Charlie Whiting RIP

FIA Formula 1 race director died in Melbourne a day before the season opener. He was only 66. Fucking hell. RIP.

The boredom kicks in just after Monaco usually.

Having lost interest in F1 quite a few years back I'm actually looking forward to watching my first Grand Prix in about a decade this weekend. All as a result of watching the F1 documentary currently on Netflix.
Great behind the scenes documentary. I really enjoyed it.

Yeah the last time I had any interest in that Schumey and Hill were still battling it out.

His brother got an awful death down the road from me here. He was one of a lot who were victims of the curse of Brinks-Mat Robbery.

I was amazed he was only 66, seemed to be around forever. Tough job he had trying to keep the whole grid happy but it would appear he was always well liked by his peers. Tough job for a new guy to walk in to. RIP
