Actually Derry is rather a nice spot. Been there as a tourist and there's plenty to see and do. Kind of a mixture of Cork (surrounded by hills) and Limerick (size) and even a bit of Embra (walls and small historical city centre)about it.

It's a bit of a pain in the @rse to get to but I quite like Derry tbh
I notice you didn't mention the natives. I assume that was deliberate.

Duffs, someone as worldly wise knows there's good and bad where e'er you go. People are people behind it all.

Have you been watching Derry Girls

There's a quirkiness about the Derry people I grant you - a minority, within a majority, within a minority, within a majority. And a cockpit of much of the struggle for self-determination and much history. I think the peace bridge linking over to the old barracks has been a big improvement and theirs an air of self-confidence about the place now.

As I say, I'm fond of Derry, and quite a number of Derry people. And I'd certainly recommend it as worth a look for anyone travelling up that general neck of the woods. Probably not worth a trip on its own I grant you, as it would take a day to get there and another to get back.

Poor ol' Sound_Y. Don't you ever tire of being pwned. Looks as though SF/IRA disagree with you....

Investment west of the Bann must be supported

http://www.sinnfein.ie/contents/32655

Sinn Féin West Tyrone MP MLA Pat Doherty has welcomed the announcement by DETI Minister Arlene Foster that £177.000 funding, from the £1.9 million Broadband Fund, is being allocated to two companies Net1/Simpliphone and North West Electronics to provide high quality, affordable wireless broadband access to certain rural areas west of the Bann where line broadband provision is still inaccessible.
