Il Padrino, Cook Street.

Hadn't been there for years but got a voucher so we headed in for lunch today.

They were really helpful with the babas, arranging high chairs and bread sticks for them. Had bruscetta for starters, mm had carpachio, we both had pasta main courses, 2 desserts, 2 coffees and one beer came to €72. All the food was lovely but nothing that you couldn't make at home.

Nothing amazing about it at all, but good solid family restaurant.

Tasting Menu in Greens was nice.

Then cocktails in Cask.

Nice to see a restaurant that doesn't give a flying fawk about French tyre companies.

River Lee hotel for Sunday lunch.

2 roasts, beef and lamb.

Beef was very nice, lamb was a bit tough and fatty.

€17 for the roast was one of the more expensive ones out there, they usually go for €12-€14.

Oh and Yorkshire pudding. Why like?

Staff very helpful.
