Caolan Mooney from Down makes his debut for Collingwood this weekend. Unfortunately it's at the expense of Marty Clarke. Mooney has kicking goals for fun in the VFL but it's a big step up.

I fancy the Swans to put a big score on the Giants this weekend. Giants are doing ok but Sydney are looking like they are Top 4 material at the moment.

Also the Leeside Lions are playing the Galway Magpies in CIT on Saturday at 1.30pm. IF anyone fancies a look ar even better a kick call away out.

St Kilda myself. A few Hawks and Swans fans in the team. Nobody barracks for Demons I'm afraid. Didn't you go for North before??? Do have a thing for being disappointed on a weekly basis or something????

I did but for some reason i feel happier being a Demons fan. It's the club that i feel the most passion for.The Jim Stynes story just moved me and their club song also brings a tear to my eye.Their in the bottom three anyway so you can't accuse me of glory hunting!I do have a soft spot for North Melbourne and The Western Bulldogs though. The Demons are debt free thanks to Jims efforts and while their a long way from where i'd like them to be im looking forward to watching the team develop over the next few years.Im just hoping for a decent second half of the season and hopefully they'll have a good pre seasons training, keep their good players and get some good draft picks in.While it's a long time since they last won a flag only Collingwood Carlton and Essendon have won more flags than Melbourne. The saints have played have 8 grand finals and only won one of them and have recorded more wooden spoons than anyone else so in fairness saints fans would know a lot about dissapointment!

Carlton are in serious shit. They got hammered by Hawthorn on friday night and are now fighting for their lives to get into the top 8 and play finals footy. It looks like Paddy Waggons arrogance about the blues chances were unfounded! In the earlier rounds Carlton were one of the best teams in the competition now their one of the worst and their next games are against Collingwood North Melbourne The Western Bulldogs Richmond and The Sydney Swans.I can see Carlton losing all of those games.North Melbourne the club that Paddy called a joke beat the top 4 chasing Adelaide Crows last week. They have beaten St Kilda by 33 points this weekend and are now in the top eight and in front of Paddys Carlton team.Well done North!(btw Paddy they may as well stick with Brett Ratten the problem is you're team has no strength in depth.)As for Leeside Lions St Kilda team they missed their chance in 09 and 2010 and their on the slide now.

And what about my beloved Melbourne Demons. They beat Essendon a few weeks ago. They put in a respectable performance against Collingwood and they trashed the Greater Western Sydney Giants last week. How did they get on against The Brisbane Lions in The Gabba?Mitch Clark is out for the season Aaron Davey was ruled out injured and Mark Jamar and Nathan Jones were ruled out before the throw in and Tom McDonald went off injured in the first quarter. The Brisbane Lions beat the lads by 61 points. The team has been unlucky this season with injuries Mark Jamar Mitch Clark Nathan Jones Aaron Davey Brad Green Clint Bartram Liam Jurrah and Ricky Pettard weren't available today and they are getting used to a new coaches ideas.Im hopeful that with a good pre seasons training under their belts, please god they'll keep their decent players and get in some decent draft picks and with better luck with the injuries im confident that the lads will have a decent 2013.For this year hopefully we'll pick up a few more wins and it will be interesting to see if Carlton can get themselves out of the shit that their in.Do you need a shovel Paddy!

Fair play to Carlton they trashed Collingwood yesterday.Brett Ratten badly needed that win and now it looks like the blues are back on track. How things can change in a week!

Not sure what Paddy said but Carlton were excellent yesterday, long overdue.

Too much has been made of the injuries - granted losing the likes of Laidler, Waite and in particular Murphy would hurt any side but too many others are badly out of form.

Judd,Simpson and Gibbs have only been ok - Betts,Garlett,Walker shocking. When the Blues are going well the likes of Kreuzer,Duigan and Yarran play well but seem unable to lift themselves when things aren't going as well.

Yesterdays win was huge and hopefully looking at the remaining games the Blues can kick on from here, top 4 probably gone but hopefully finals still a distinct possibility - certainly a fully fit Carlton side would be a match for anyone.

I think Paddy said something about winning two flags in the next 4 years but fair dues to Carlton they badly needed that win and on based the form that they showed on friday that prediction now sounds reasonable!North Melbourne v Carlton will be a good game this friday.btw What do you make of Melbourne i think their getting used to a new coaches ideas this year and injuries haven't helped.Hopefully they can keep their good players get some good draft picks in and who knows what might happen in 2013!I think they have improved in the last month to a certain extent they beat Essendon, they were respectable enough against Collingwood, they trashed GWS but they've lost the last two games and the performance against Richmond yesterday was very poor.Richmond should have won by more than 20 something points. What players on Melbournes list do you think are worth keeping or is it a very poor squad that will need a huge overhaul?

btw I still like North and the Bulldogs but it turns out that the Dees are the team that i feel the most affection for.In fairness you can't accuse me of glory hunting i've switched to a worse team than North!

The alarm bells are ringing again at Carlton.North Melbourne smashed them at the weekend.North are looking good for a top eight finish now.How did my Melbourne Demons get on?We were winning at the end of all three quarters. We were already missing players through injury a few more wen't off injured during the match and we couldn't hold out in the fourth quarter.

My poor Melbourne Demons they have only won two games this season. They caught Essendon on the hop and the second win came against GWS who are only in their first season.Port Adelaide are a crap team my Demons are even more crap Port Adelaide trashed us.I just hope that next season will be better. If it's more of this shit at this stage next year questions will have to be asked about Mark Neeld. This club is depth free and it has top class training facilities thank's to Jims efforts. It's just that the playing list needs improving.Hopefully this club will get back to where we want it to be.It would be terrible to see Jims efforts go to waste.btw Heres Jim marking the ball when he was sitting in with the Demons cheer squad.
