Default Make A Move Festival

Lots of cork heads and ex cork headz representing at this full programme here. Plenty of free stuff over weekend but rather than paste the whole programme here- just draw your attention to this Thursday night.

Banter with Jim Carroll on the state of Irish hip hop should ensure lively debate and discussion. It is free. As is the gig that follows with Lethal Dialect and Temper-Mental MissElayneous.

Worth making a trip for

Thursday 5th July

8 pm Jim Carroll (Irish Times) hosts Banter discussion Irish hip hop: Got to get up to get down. A panel discussion assessing the past, present and future of Irish hip-hop featuring Paul Tarpey, Kieran Nolan (irishhiphop.com) Temper-Mental MissElayneous, Mynameisjohn- Daghdha Church, St Johns Square, Limerick. 9.30 pm Live Irish hip hop showcase featuring Lethal Dialect “acclaimed…..dark social realism” (Irish Times) “Intelligent polished albums” (MTV) and Temper-Mental MissElayneous “one of the brightest sights and sounds on the Irish music scene right now.
