The aussie rules highlights are shown on ESPN and Eurosport 2.TG4 used to show the aussie rules highlights for years but for some reason their not covering it this year.

Tyrone’s championship hopes have been dealt a blow with the news that Seán Cavanagh will play no part in this year’s campaign.

The 2008 Footballer of the Year fell awkwardly when playing for his club Moy on Sunday last and later it emerged that he had dislocated his shoulder.

The injury to Cavanagh is similar to that which kept him out of action for six months in the latter part of last year. Tyrone face Armagh in their Ulster SFC opener on 10 June and and Cavanagh joins Kyle Coney and Ronan O'Neill as absentees for this season.

Speaking after the latest setback to hit the Tyrone squad, coach Mickey Harte said: "We’re really disappointed for Sean, we’re all devastated, but that’s where it’s at, and we have to live with that.”

And Harte revealed that he has been in touch with one of the players who retired prior to the beginning of this season with a view to stepping back in to address a crisis which has seen key attackers ruled out by injury.

He refused to identify the player in question, but confirmed that it is not Brian Dooher, who is currently injured.

Tyrone can be taken off the list of possible AI winners.

They rely hugely on him.

I'm not so sure they rely hugely on him anymore. I don't think he has been grreat this last couple of years to be honest. But his experience will be missed.

Were Tyrone in the list of possible AI winners? IMO there were only three and we all know who they are. So I'm relying on Cork to wrestle Sam back from the capital because I don't think I could handle a year like last.

They've lost too many scoring forwards to be considered serious contenders now. Pity, Cavanagh is always a great player to watch.

I didn't see Tyrone as potential winners in any event but losing Cavanagh will hurt their chances of making it to the later stages.

The Dubs have made three changes from last September for Sunday - McMahon, Fennell and super-sub McManamon in for O'Sullivan (injured), Bastick and Cahill. Strong looking team although I'd have my doubts about Fennell at midfield against the better teams.
