Default What would you go for??

If you had the choice would you go for:

Impreza hatchback
Mazada 3 sedan
Golf
Toyota Camry

All of them would be around 2008, 50kms up on them

Depends on what spec.
Golf GT or GTI would be desirable, as would the Impreza if it were WRX spec.

If it's standard ie: 1.4/1.6 N/A golf, or 1.6 Impreza I'd go Golf.

Camry = Old man car.
