I gave out, because true to form, your interest in what happens to drink drivers stops once the legal industry has made it's pound of fresh.
Nope, you missed the point again.
My point was the no amount of prison time will help the victim, and in your rabid desire to punish the wrongdoer, you seem to entirely dismiss the needs of the victim.

Yet you see me as the uncaring one?
You are full of shite as usual.
No amount of prison time will help the victim!
Or further victims.
Of course that would be your standpoint, once you have your 20 pieces of a silver.

Morally bankrupt.
Exactly. No amount of prison time will help the victim.
That is not to say that drunk drivers should not be punished ( I have repeatedly stated in this thread that an uninsured driver should be prosecuted, and I would hold the same opinion for drunk drivers) but my point was that prison time for the offender is not enough, there also has to be a system to compensate the victim.
And it is 30 pieces of silver, you complete and utter dolt...
(Judas wouldnt have gotten out of bed for 20 pieces of silver!)

Of course prison time for scum helps the victim.
Only a money obsessed moron would suggest otherwise.
Only a money obsessed moron would suggest otherwise.
Indeed.
I have actual experience of dealing with people who have suffered serious injuries as a result of the actions of others and I can guarantee you that, to a man, their primary concern has been "how the hell am I going to survive/pay my mortgage/look after my kids" rather than "how much jail time is the person who did this going to serve"
That is not to say that they dont get angry, or that they dont want the person to be punished, but to suggest that punishment of the perpatrator is more important to them than compensation is idiotic.
Which is not surprising i suppose, given the person suggesting it
