Default Philosophy Book Club

There’s a Philosophy Book Club starting upstairs in the Phoenix tomorrow night (Monday 23rd), do you think in a world of reality TV, and social media that there is an interest in people thinking for themselves?

Default A nice surprise

Well, the first meeting was held last night and we had a huge crowd, there was nearly fifty people at it, which given the event, is I think, a huge number, so therfore I have to conclude that yes there is an interest in people thinking for themselves.

Fair play. I'd be along if I wasn't thar lear. Nice selection of readings too. Are you gonna go through them in chronological order? I find that makes it easier to see where the writers are coming from.

We are going to let the people at the club decide, I want people to choose through the blog what they want to read next and to make recommendations on books to add to the list, I think that it's the fairest way.
