His dislocated fingernail jab when a Madrid player went down dramatically was a gem.

As a young fella, I went to see Man City play Cork City out at Bishopstown. Went hanging around outside the back of the stand afterwards for autographs as the City players exited one by one from a doorway, towards the team bus. The likes of Uwe Rosler, Steve Lomas, Keith Curle, Peter Beagrie. We're talking that vintage. Trevor, who was working as a commentator for 'The Local Channel', as it was commonly known at that point, strolled out and stood by the door to loads of sarcastic roars of "Trevor, TREVOR, autograph Trevor, TREVOOOOOR", and mock-hysterical waving of autograph books and programmes. He was less than impressed. Still an amusing memory of my youth.
