Default Baltimore

In late February I'll have a week split between Baltimore and Washington D.C.

Is there anything particular to see/do in Baltimore?

Apart from having imaginary sex on a bonnet by a railroad with McNulty.

Head over to Sherkin.
Nice seafood in the village.
Maybe a bit of sailing and beach walks.

In the U.S. version try not to get violently mugged by an African American.

baltimore looks pretty grim on both the wire and homicide. was that pub the wire lads used to drink in a real one?

ooh!

Now turn right onto Baltimore St. At the end of the first block on the right is The American, the interior of which was used as Kavanagh's Irish Pub, where the police would have wakes for slain officers.

It's 15 years since I was there, but my memory was a reasonably OK waterfront area, but the stuff around it being somewhere between uninspiring and dangerous.

IIRC PROC Poster Amadeus DC went to John Hopkins University, which is in Baltimore
