Use of the Black sabbath name ?

T'was something that lofty said in the metal thread that Dio,Iommi, bulter and the drummer(can't think of his name) can't use the sabbath name(and use heaven and hell instead) because of Sharon Osbourne ? Surely sharon osbourne has nothing to do with the sabbath name ? Of all the stuff I've read on sabbath, never once did I see her name mentioned about having any control of the name. Surely tonny Iommi owns the sabbath name, no ?

im sure ive seen a vh1 about this or something, think thats about right though, sharon osbourne owns the name.
i think her dad produced most of their stuff or something...though i could be confusing this with a different vh1 rockumentary

Yeah - Sharon made sure Ozzy has the name.

Which is a pity since the Dio material is far superior to Ozzy's overall. Granted Black Sabbath (album) and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are great works but in the long run Ozzy couldn't compare with Dio full stop.

Basically what it is that Iommi owns the name but Sharon cunting Osbourne made him sign something that if he used the name with another singer, then there would never again be a reunion of the original lineup. I actually do think its a good idea to keep heaven and hell seperate as the material is much different rather than listening to Ozzy wheeze his way through Paranoid for the 100th time. I know I am more looking forward to seeing them at hellfest
