Default How To...release song for digital downloads

Hey all,

Anyone here released a song digitally, for selling purposes? Any good online resources for informing a bunch of novices how to do so?

http://bandcamp.com/ is pretty easy to figure out and the website tells you how to do it.

Thanks, but it doesn't look like those sales would feature in any Irish chart count right?

We are hoping to do a bit of a fundraising single, which may get ridiculed or take off, but we want to try and get it in the Top 30, it would only take about 300 sales, so we need more info for getting it into that kind of space.

Ah right. Go through iTunes then, that's counted by IRMA.

I buy most of my music through Bandcamp these days so would be more familiar with that. Pity it doesn't count towards charts; along with iTunes I'd say it sells a lot of stuff for independent bands/musicians.

I'd say i-tunes would be the way to go to get into the Top 30.

If you got high on their charts it would be exposure that could aid you getting into the Irish charts.

Not that I use itunes myself that is!
