Default Death of the Irish boozer.

THE IRISH PUB, says the Lonely Planet travel guide, is the country’s number-one attraction. Yet it is also doomed, according to leading food writer John McKenna. Health campaigners have its products in their cross-hairs, but the truth is that many of us are increasingly indifferent to its long-standing charms.

Is the pub really doomed ?
Maybe.
Especially if they carry on thinking all punters want is a telly set to Sky News, indifferent service, no food and mawkish stout.
Costing even more than it did during the Celtic Tiger.
Fuck it lads, publicans deserve to perish in a pool of their own greed.

Doomed.

Greatly exaggerated, I'd say. There may be fewer of them unfortunately but most of the good ones will see this out and rise again.

Totally, the price of a pint is huge and the price of a stupid soft drink is also huge.
And I hate this "im the barman so eat up my wise cracks and give me respect" attitude a lot of them come off with.
Fuck you pub owners!

If you don't like something then don't do it again! Find one you like then stick with it.

I like it but the price is out of hand, so for now I won't be doing it again. Thanks for the tip
