Default Steve Bruce sacked

Only a matter of time

Lost most of their best players from last season Welbeck, Gyan etc. and replaced them with inferior players. Top top players won't go there.

Beginning to think the job is a bit of a poisoned chalice.

they have very little up front, so whoever comes in (o'neill?) has a tough job on his hands.

That whole Gyan episode was bizarre.

Wouldn't have had Bruce down as the first manager out though

Steve Kean should have been first but the board at Blackburn are blind, deaf and dumb.

Sunderland are ready made for a manager to come in and take them above mid-table straight away. It's a good time for someone like Martin O'Neill or Mark Hughes to come in, with January just around the corner and money there for them to spend.

had a massive turnover of players during the summer. brought in some decent players like larsson brown o shea and gaardner but he was basically starting from scratch in building a whole new team. loosing gyan without having time to get a replacement was a disaster. mark Hughes anyone?

I'd say O'Neill could be a better option than Hughes who seems to have an eye on the Chelsea job
