Marina Warner will speak about the work of Paula Rego and childhood in art.
As well as writing about the work of Paula Rego's Jane Eyre series currently
on display in the Glucksman, she has recently curated Only Make-Believe:
Ways of Playing, an exhibition on childhood and art at Compton Verney,
Marina Warner is a distinguished writer of fiction, criticism and history;
her award-winning works include novels and short stories as well as studies
of female myths and symbols.
Wasnt impressed by Paula Rego's Jane Eyre series to be honest. Much bleaker than i would have imagined the characters - if you can imagine such a thing.

Anyone else here seen it?
