He's one of three ministers (along with Cullen and Roche) that Pat Rabbitte mentioned recently that he wanted to get rid of.

It's amazing that these three gowls' incompetence in all ministries that they have served in (most notably MM's buck-passing in health) has gone practically unnoticed by most people. All three were pretty much appointed on geography rather than ability.

Cullen smacks of everything I dislike about Fianna Fáil. Smarmy, arrogant and incompetent.

Ive never had a problem with MM and I think he comes across reasonably well on radio and TV but he does tend to sound ratty when the opposition get on his back. He needs to be a bit more Bertie 'a dig out from friends during a bad time in his life' Ahern to get the sympathy vote.

If the opposition can't make hay out of the airport decision there's no hope for them.
