Funniest game I ever saw was Cliff 'The Grinder' Thorburn V Alex 'Hurricane' Higgins....

.....twas like watching a Stannah Stairlift racing a Ferrari F1 car.

Alex must have had about 20 cigs in between each play.

If i had said that people would ignore my point and say its bill werbeniuk.

but i'm not some people, you are correct Stevie, he died a couple of years back. I think it was his nerves that needed him to get langers

Just wiki'd big bill

A memorable incident occurred during a televised World Championship Match against Dennis Taylor at the Crucible. Werbeniuk attempted to stretch across the table, but due to his size was having some difficulty. Eventually, the inevitable happened and he broke wind loudly. With the audience, referee and Taylor trying to hold in their laughter, Werbeniuk got off the table, turned to the audience and said: "Who did that?"

Ahhh...Big Bill Werbenuik - He used to drink up to 40 pints of lager, and sometimes 10 double vodkas a DAY......

Had to have 8 pints at least before a game, and one at least per frame during games.

Died at 56...surprised he even made that !!!!

I remember Kirk Stevens playing Jimmy White in I think it was the world championship during the 80's
White won 16-14 in what was a fantastic display of potting by both men.

I believe it was Silvino who reported Kirk Stevens for using stimulants.

Its sure was elwood.

The Rothmans tournament used to be interesting watching Higgins smoke away to his hearts content.

The smoking and the drinking was what turned a lot of people against Snooker & Darts in the 80's.

I remember Jocky Wilson winning the darts towards the end of the 80's and being totally pissed collecting the trophy.

Thank god sports has moved on since then.

In general they don't stamp on each other, eye gouge, bite. You know that kind of thing. Getting pissed in front of a bunch of young kids who respect them is being phased out as we speak

Phil Taylors physicality on the bar stool.

I couldnt see Richie Burnett getting into Peter Clohesseys bar in Limerick.

Former world champion that he is would not bear fruit with the rugby jock bouncers who would judge hime emrely on his looks and looks alone.
