Rubbish performance from United, if they played like that against a better team than Lille they would have been beaten.

Carrick was a joke last night, I would have hauled him off at half time and brought on Fletcher. Ferdinand didnt exactly inspire confidence either, bailed out by Vidic again. I thought Fergie made the right call about taking off Ronaldo and bringing on Saha, I was expecting it to be Larrson but I was glad to see he left him on.

On the goals, I feel sorry for Lille in both counts. I think the ref got both calls right when you get into the nitty gritty of it BUT there wasnt a huge amount of contact on Vidic, he may not have got there anyway. United were lucky that the contact was spotted too because more often than not a goal like that would have stood IMO.

Lille themselves are not much of a threat though, United should be able to score a couple at Old Trafford to kill the tie off.
