Birmingham have tied up on-loan Arsenal midfielder Sebastian Larsson on a four-year deal after agreeing a £1million deal with the Gunners.

Larsson has made 34 appearances on loan at St Andrews and Blues boss Steve Bruce was sufficiently impressed to offer the 21-year-old a permanent contract.

Larsson has committed himself to the promotion hopefuls until the summer of 2011, with his four-year contract commencing when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

The Swedish under-21 international has shown his versatility by playing in a number of positions although he has been at his most effective on the right flank.

if he did it would be typical of the season so far. Getting wasteful at the end of games. I've only seen the goals from last night but it was nice to see a clinical look about the manner of the Larsson & Rooney goals.
