The GAA know everything about selling their souls for the corporate euro. "We'll put the NFL game between Dublin and Tyrone on at night so that more people can see it, and then we'll make sure it's only covered live by a subscription channel."
Where's the sense in that like?
FFS!
They know nothing about their responsibilities to their members as an amateur organisation.
Mockery.

Are you serious? I thought that NFL games were shown on TG4. That really pisses me off. I'm sick of missing out on good matches due to Sky and co. buying up all the rights and being left with racing from Lepordstown every fucking second week.
Time to start an internet campain methinks.

I know that, but the GAA should have made an exception for the first Floodlit match in Croker and made it available to everyone.

That would have been the same as asking Sky to allow all of Wimbledon's games on RTE years ago if they built their stadium in Dublin. Anyway the GAA have nearly made the game a sell out as it is & I dunno would the number of tickets sold would be the same as that if the game was on TG4 or RTE.
Besides Cork are playing Donegal in Pairc Ui Rinn on Sat night so screw the Dubs & Tyrone.

exactly, get down and support the rebels, just wrap up well, Pairc Ui Rinn is a cold spot at night.
I'll be abroad aswell so won't bother me either way.

Exactly, Donegal are no mugs....should give us a good indication of where we stand at the moment, and how much further we have to go before we can have serious championship thoughts...I'd say we won't be far away from the mix this year.

we werent far away from the mix last year.Christ we were the only team to give Kerry a decent run apart from Armagh. What we need is a fully fit Canty back, and definitely one, but perhaps two finds in the forward line. Cork will be contenders this year

there will be some serious local rivalry in Navan too where Meath play Cavan under floodlights.
I can imagine that they could turn the lights off for the first ten minutes till the scrapping gets over and done with.
Should be interesting.

I think Cork need a full back as well because for me Canty is too good a footabller back there, but in saying that he's a good man-marker too so a new midfielder would compensate. I'd like try out Nicholas Murphy at full forward. Remember the fetch for Spillane's winner against Donegal last year? He'd open up a lot of space for Masters & O'Connor.

Was at the game on Sat night. Cork are badly caught for forwards with only O'Connor making any impression. Masters is limited in that he has no pace & good corner backs wont have any trouble with him. His free taking overwhelmes the rest of his game & his importance to Cork.
The ref ruined what was turning into a decent 2nd half as well. Its hard to pin down one bad decision because he was just awful in the 2nd half. Anyway I dont think Cork can use that as an excuse because he gave Donegal nothing in the 1st half.
The one plus point were the perfermances of Shields & Cadogen. Two excellent young footballers. Shields played most of the game full back but I dont think he's Corks long term answer there.
