With all due respect to whiskeynose, none of their key players have been injured this season.
Let's see how they get on when the inevitable injuries to scoles and Giggs arrive.

For us, I don't think we've had any real luck in games says Fergie

Is he back on the bottle.

How about 2 offside goals last week.

Or for a biggie, the spurs goal that was a yard over the line.

Luckily such rubbish can be refuted with a dose of facts

Good to have you back Lamps, this place needed an injection of reality. Imagine the state of the Utd cheerleaders if the 2 marginal goals they got against Reading were somehow scored against United. Fair play to Ronaldo, if he continues to score Andy Cole-style tap-ins for the rest of the season against inferior opposition he may well be player of the year, and everyone will forget how out of sorts Rooney is in his general play.

If I didn't see it with my own eyes I would've thought that these quotes were a wind up!

They've had some incredible fortune in the last couple of years, scoring in the last minute against Wigan and Spurs last season, scoring in the first two minutes against us at the end of last season, things like that.

Late goals were what Utd were reknowned for during their purple patch in the 90's [e.g. 2 goals in an amazing 8 minutes of injury time Vs Sheff Wed, 2 goals in injury time in "that balmy night in Barcelona" (tm) ]. In any event scoring a valid goal late in a game is not lucky. The game lasts until the referee blows the final whistle. This isn't cricket where you can hope to build up an unassailable lead and sit back and coast out the rest of the game.

We're not surrounding referees like other clubs do.

United patented this manouvre (although Chelsea have taken up the baton well in recent years) - some of the pictures of United players (usually with Keane at the forefront) physically intimidating referees are legendary.

Woefully predictable responses. Veering from nonsensical to simple mis-reading of the article.

Yes the first goal against Villa where he ran from the half way line to get the crucial goal that Chelsea couldn't last night was a tap-in........

Christ you are very bitter your team could do with tap-ins against inferior opposition

And you must be very hard up to be seeking solace in this WUM

As for the Fergie comments
They were taken out of context but its no more stupid than Jose's complaints about massive injuries lately

Chelsea deserved the league the last two years

Fergie is on about luck over the last couple of seasons.

He mentioned the first game of last season.

Bitter bitter man.

He even complained about Chelsea scoring an early goal against them, whats that all about

Dismissing the best player of the last few weeks as a tap-in merchant was silly

well Stevie in fairness it was hardly a classic, the Villa back four all ran into eachother, ronaldo made a mess of his first effort and was lucky the ball rebounded kindly to him. He ran very fast with the ball though, I'll give him that.
Interestingly, on sky Sports at the weekend(seemingly the driving force behind the ronaldo campaign for POTY), the had a little highlight package of Ronaldo's goals, and they edited out the missed shot against villa to make it look like he ran from his own half and scored at the first attempt.

Fair enough Sky are over-hyping him like they always do
He should have scored more over Xmas as far as i'm concerned but he is doing realy well overall

I understand the hype is annoying (it annoys me too) but so is the criticism of him sometimes

For the record i also think united should be playing much better at the moment and they will have to improve an awful lot if they wanna win the league

Fergie mindgames me thinks, ill admit that united have been the best team since the premiership began but theres no way you can deny that THEY have been the luckiest also, remember all the fuckin disgusting goals they used to get in the 99th minute of matches.

Fergies's clearly just up to his usualy tricks lets just hope that Jose pulls a Keagan on it and make the title race more exciting than it has been in previous years

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can remember, Giggs has been out with injury in two spells already this season, and Scholes once.

a game or two.
i'm speaking of the inevitable month out injury.
I'm fairly certain this will occur when the Champs league recommences.
Utd's squad will be under serious pressure then with at least 4 cl games and a probable run to at least the FA cup semis.

Rooney suspension
Delayed start from Carrick (injury)
Park and Ole injured
Gary Neville out for a few different periods
Evra and Heinze out for at times too
etc etc

Injuries happen everyone
Every team who wins the league needs a bit of luck
I hope United get it this year

Rooney and scholes getting a three match ban because of a no mark ref in a meaningless friendly decides to make a name for himself. Cue no action from the FA and a ban for 2 of uniteds best players. Surprise surprise

Also chelsea dropped the ball in getting rid of their defensive cover during the summer and buying big name players.

Neville has missed stacks of the season.

Ye are all missing the point, the young lads arriving back from loan like Rossi, Dong and Simpson are all good players. There's your squad.

If only we had quality players like Geremi, Hilario, Boulahrouz and Shaun Wright Phillips to throw in rather than muppets like Solskjaer, Larsson, Heinze, Brown, Kusczak and Park.

We're going to have to have a new category, SFFI, Sports Forum Football Ignorami.
