I agree. Mourinho is a plonker, I've always said so.
Alan "Liverpool fan" Greene did a nice article over the hols on Fergie and Mourihno being as despicable as each other. Also mentioned how Fergie hasn't met the press in years and will only fulfil champions league interviews are it would get him in shit with UEFA if he didn't.

Thanks for sharing that wonderful clip. I think that when you contrast this display of unity and comradeship with the recent pics of the Liverpool players at their party, posing for photos dressed up as parrots and babies, the reason for the 14point gap between the sides becomes clearly evident.

Jesus, I've things to be doing so don't be bothering me with such silliness for the rest of the afternoon.
John Terry is a lynchpin of Chelsea's defence.
He's also a very limited player with his lack of pace and poor general technical ability.
Still with me?
What he is, however, is an excellent header of a ball. His absence costs Chelsea goals at both ends. How many of these recent goals have come from the sort of crosses that Terry was normally mopping up handily?
I don't rate Terry as a defender because, unlike Ferdinand, you don't have to have certain players around him to prevent him being a complete liability with his lack of pace. If, like Mourinho, you're willing to build a whole team around the guy and have no problem with turgid, defensive, counter-attacking puke football that Ulster GAA would be proud of, he's brilliant.

Hang on, Ferdinand was a liability until Vidic steadied the ship and has still looked poor enough, at times, this season only to be bailed out by one of the rest of the back four. He's a good player on the ball, but an average, at best, defender.

tony adams was just like john terry. very limited technically but a savage man, a savage captain and a savage defender. I like rio because the guy can actually play football. So can toure, in fact toure is wasted in defence.
Would it surprise you to learn I hadn't much time for Adams either?
From a young age, I decided he was one of these whose second touch was a tackle. One incident stood out in particular, Adams makes the tackle (big cheer), gives away the ball with appalling pass, make interception (big cheer), lost ball again, made a headed clearance (big cheer), cue "what a player" remarks from idiot English commentator.
The two Utd lads at the time, Bruce and Pallister, could defend but they also didn't give the fucking ball away straight away thereafter and this trait has always been absolutely key to playing as a defender with Manchester Utd and I think it's one reason why John O'Shea hasn't tended to get games there since he came through.
Rio has flaws as a defender but he's a fabulous, if unconventional, sweeper. You can't be giving that "turkey" Vidic all the credit for Utd's much more solid looking defence this season.

Adams actually improved a lot on the ball as his career went on. Far better on the ball than Bruce.
The tripe you come out with is mindless. Its galls you that the GAA fan has a better understanding of the game.

Would agree with that.

no adams improved fitness wise and the style arsenal played made him look better because they passed it more through the defenders. all he done most of the time bar that goal steve bould set up was pass it to keown or dixon. theres a difference.
Well Adams in his book mentioned that he was a far better footballer as the years went on as he worked on becoming better on the ball.

Do other football teams sing Munich songs?
Alan Smith used to.

Alan Smith used to.
Speaking of Alan Smith and other matters, I'm sure the lads smashing up his ambulance, singing the funny song when he got hurt, the liverpool fans throwing bags of shit in response to bags of piss being thrown at them the previous game is all in the spirit of passion and such.
Stevie? Ho Chi?
Where do we draw the line here. I would like to know.

A couple of morons does not reflect the majority of support
The Liverpool fans didn't know he was seriously injured
The "fans" who attacked the ambulance were a tiny minority
Smith received hundreds of cards and letters of support from Liverpool fans and had been quite vocal in his praise for them
It's only the tabloids and their ilk who try to stir this shit up
Most football fans are decent people

Nope.
That's just thuggery. But if you can recall back to the time all that hadn't, you might remember I didn't go over the top on it. LD blasted me for being blasé on the matter, but it's horrible, it's disgusting, but unfortunately this is the world we live in. There are idiots everywhere, in goverment, on the terraces, in town on a Saturday night.
Singing Munich/Heysel songs is also rather distasteful, but not in the same ballpark by any stretch.
Do you get offended when people tell off-colour jokes? This isn't a trick question.

I personally think you need one of each. a player defender and a hatchet. Carvalho is a player, terry is the hatchet. Id have terry in the arsenal team ahead of rio 100 times over.
I wouldn't have Terry in the Arsenal team ahead of Touré and Gallas though.
I think if Utd had Terry, Rio and Vidic to choose from, all bases would be covered. Terry and Vidic guarding a goal lead against a quality team would be the business but I'd take Rio for the majority of our games.
However, I don't want to get backed into a corner over Rio. I don't personally like the guy and his fucking "merking" or whatever. We have two young lads, Evans and Pique, who have all the gimp's technical ability and actually defend as well as the best of them, the former in particular. I'm hoping Evans will take Rio's spot in the next 12-18 months.

No, its the Ronaldo song, to the same tune that is far more popular
A lot of fans don't abhor the two times song
Hang on, i thought you admitted all fans sing similar stupid songs and were criticising the players?
Get over it man

I was, and I wouldn't deny that they do, but you then decided that most fans are decent skins. But they all sing that song.
Trying to tell everyone that its the Ronaldo song is disingenuous to say the least

It is in the video
It's quite clear
And yes, United have loads of fans who are muppets
All teams do, especially the best supported ones
