That young Irish centre-back Darren O' Dea scored for Celtic today in a 2-0 win over Motherwell.
I wonder if he'd be good enough to play for Ireland soon? God knows we are in dire need of a good centre-back. I know he's only young (18 I think) but he seems to have great potential.
I read an interview with him in The Sunday Times there recently and he came across very well.

He's ok, only that but he's young. It's his second or third goal which is very good considering he only made his debut less than a month ago. His partnership v Motherwell with McManus was uninspiring but he had a cracking debut and did well again today by all accounts. Unfortunately I was working so couldn't watch it.

If he's not good enough for Roy, he's not good enough for Ireland...
