I was wondering if anyone here knows of any good books/audio books for learning irish? I 've been terrible at it all my life.
thanks

I used the teach yourself Irish books, then Turas Teanga. Reading Lá & Foinse, the internet is good too.

If you go into the city library in the music section they have a good selection of language courses including Irish. I copied the tapes and photocopied the book for myself. It is a very effective way of learning Irish

As well as books/audio books, I'd recommend you go to An Ghaeltacht for a week or two (preferably over the summer) and mingle with the locals (those of us who are happy to make the effort). Níl faic níos fearr le feabhas a chur ar Ghaoluinn duine ná a bheith á labhairt.
