Sunderland boss Roy Keane warned his side they must be more consistent if they are to claim a play-off spot.
Tuesday's 2-1 win at QPR lifted the Black Cats to six points of the play-off places but the former Manchester United skipper is remaining guarded.
The victory at Loftus Road means Sunderland are now unbeaten in four but Keane said: "There's a lot of hard work to do - we need to go on a decent run.
"Two wins and two draws and you look like you're heading in the right direction, but we had some good wins earlier in the season and then we went back to square one."
