Gorgeous by all accounts. Very like Cuba in places. Much better feeling to the place than Rio. Have a relative living there and he loves it.

Nice spot alright. Bit dodgy but sure isnt the whole lot of Brazil. If your gona make it to Salvador then make sure and visit Morro de Sao Paolo. A 2-hour boat journey away. Its paradise.

Been there, bit dodge, wouldnt rush back.

Ended up in a massive crazy festival in a pitch type arrangement.

was there last year and wasn't mad about it! its true, this place is dodgy but the country is in general (however this is worse than rio i thought!). if u make it up that far make sure you get to morro de sao paulo, absolutely beautiful! drinkin on beach with sun coming up and u will be pinching yourself!

Fortalezza is a mad spot by all a/c's so check it out if u r up north!
