Moved to Vancouver only two weeks ago. Lots of good live music on whatever your into, loadsa cool venues too of varying sizes. I've already been to a few really good gigs already.
The pub scene here is not that good as far as i can see but i've found a few good clubs alright.
Its very expensive here, prices are generally a bit higher than Dublin for the most part.
There seems to be alot of work here too although i'm still unemployed but i'm holding out for a job related to what i did in college.
Overall its a cool place, the Canadians are by far the most polite & genuine group of ppl i've experienced.
The weather here is terrible though, i arrived two weeks ago today and it has not stopped raining! The locals say it shouls stop by the end of Feb and they're not joking!

Hello There.
Tell ya one thing corkbhoy, the amount of homeless cunts in vancouver is frightening. its minus 3/4 at the mo and the poor cunts are still out begging, getting fuck all off me anyway. One of the lads keeps hopping snowballs off them and getting chased around the place. crazy man.

Ye fcukers, can't bring ye anywhere. What are the pubs like? Staying away from the shkiddly diddly tura lura Irish bars I take it? Do you get to see the Celtic games? Old firm on 17 Dec like.

hhehehee too funny i'm living in vancouver right now...it SNOWED late Nov which nearly paralyzed the city for about a week (transit buses, skytrain & cars) ...very unusual to happen. monsoon season from nov to march (constant rain)
very expensive here especially to eat out & drink in bars or pubs or rent in the downtown area. auto insurance costs are insanely high

but ppl are very friendly & LOVE irish, british, etc

but due to the constant rain, i'm outta here to thailand near the end of dec till feb. by feb the flowers should be coming up.
awesome june to sept, hot n dry, lots of beaches n things to do outside.
