Just interested in hearing the Sport's Forum's take on this.

Worst- Poll, Rennie, Riley

But to be fair that's probably only because they're given the bigger games so they're in the spotlight more

Best-????..... maybe Mark Clattenburg. He infuriates me least

Howard Webb usually does a decent job, but he hever seems the get the big matches so he must be a bit shit.

Rennie is the only one who stands out as terrible.

The rest all do a decent job.

I know he's retired now but Jeff Winters story about letting play end at the Kop end for his very last game so he could let the pool fans cheer for him rather than their own team was office-like in its cringeworthiness

i remember that. what a tool. he was always quick to flash the cards. he does after dinner speeches now.

since a former ref has been mentioned, i might as well put forward paul durkan as a good ref. he was always relaxed, none of this running up to players almost flinging the cards at them shit. gave players a talking to without needlessly brandishing. rarely took shit from players.

Roger Milford (I think that was the name at least) was very good from what i remember. I think he took the 91/Gazza Cup Final as well. The players seemed to like him and from what I recall he was a fan of the old quick chat rather than brandishing the card asap. -AmadeusDC-

My Fav ref of all time is the lad who pulled his hamstring at Old Trafford in April 93, United v Sheffield Wednesday... 6 minutes of injury time :)
