Can Yeats do it? If there is one man I want in the saddle for this its Fallon. Have to make a few quid after the disaster of the Breeders cup

Cant see how this horse will be beat - everything in his favour. The only reason he is 5/1 or there abouts is that people are unsure how he will adapt to the aussie surface (like a road), the crwods (about 130,000) and the hot weather compared to his natual environs in Ireland and England. In my it is well woth taking the chance on this horse. If the horse runs anywhere near it's best it will have no doubts about that. This horse is by far the best stayer in the world at the moment.

Plus Fallon is on board - enough said!!!.

Don't like the hard surface though, that can stop any horse no matter how good. How many in the race, usually quite a big field no? I agree he should win, but.....

Fallon gave him a good ride, had him sitting in a perfect position, just could not quicken in the straight

Did'nt see the race lads. According to the reports the top weight got to him on the hme straight. Did he go off fav @ 3/1 ???.

Well the weight didn't help, but he just could not pick up and was beaten 3 out, its a strange race, they go hell for leather at the start, then slow down, then starting ripping again coming off the final bend, here's what Fallon said

from the RP

Yeats, sent off at 11-2, missed the kick slightly before going to the front over 4f out. He was headed and outpaced early in the straight, eventually finishing seventh. Kieren Fallon reported: "We thought we had the right horse, but we were wrong. This is a very differenttype of race to European races over the same sort of trip. At home we usually build gradually in long distance races, but here they ride two races in one

"Yeats didn't have the speed to kick when he needed to. He kept galloping but now I've ridden in the Melbourne Cup for the first time I realise that a mile-and-a-half horse, maybe even a mile-and-a-quarter horse, is the type you need for this race. The big weight and a bit of interference early on didn't help either."

Clearly, you know nothing about horseracing.

Absolutely nothing.

Fallon probably had Yeats layed on betfair anyway.

yes, King Kieran had him 500 laid on him to win a couple of grand, and Ballydoyle spent tens of thousands on him to send Yeats to Australia, off back to the morons forum with you, you moron, did I make a prediction? no. Save your tan tabloidesque insinuations for the morons forum, Fallon is god, the SFI won't tolerate this guff, not now, not ever.

You let it slip that you had lost heavily in the Breeder's Cup and now this. Clearly you are a failed gambler, who knows nothing about horse racing.

And Fallon is as crooked as they come. Only the most deluded of deluded fools would think otherwise.

I think you may be mixing me up with the poster known as 'Matlock'.

It's an easy mistake to make, I suppose.

If you're a bit thick.

Madra rua, I suppose Fallon being banned for the foreseeable future from racing in Britain is just part of a major conspiracy to destroy his career.

I've made thousands from gambling (mainly on betfair rather than bookies). The bookies, like many industries make their money from the principle that most people in this world are idiots.

You really shouldn't comment on things you don't know about. Please explain how Betfair make their money seeing as you claim to know so much about it.

Murdock, you should be familiar with the term "aftertiming". Don't gloat about gambling winnings after the fact. If you've got something to say then say it before a race/match. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

If I back anyting I'd fancy Mahler or Scorpion myself in this, to be honest the Melbourne cup doesn't do much for me compared to other top races, can't understand how a handicap is a GP1, The aussies usually have it very well sown up anyway
