Hard to beat this Jim Stynes Prick
"The Irish got too caught up in the wrestling and all that stuff that went on in the first quarter. It took its toll. A lot of it was instigated by the Irish, there were a lot of yellow cards going their way. Geraghty tripped one of our guys out and the tackle was fair. I think he must have hit his head on the ground."

And the Keane thing is hearsay
"London - Kenny Dalglish is the latest soccer personality to come under fire from Roy Keane as The Times continued its serialisation of the Manchester United skipper's autobiography on Monday.
Writing about his move from Nottingham Forest to United in 1993, the Irish international said Dalglish "went crazy" after the player reneged on a handshake agreement to join Blackburn Rovers -then managed by Dalglish.
Keane said he had agreed to join Blackburn for £4-million (about R62m) but, after shaking hands with Dalglish on the deal, withdrew after being approached by United manager Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson took Keane to Manchester to discuss a move after telling him that as he had not signed any forms he was under no obligation to honour his verbal agreement."

Schmeichel pissed people off (at the time) but Cole and Law and the others it didn't affect
Law walked away and didn't celebrate that goal which meant a lot
United were destined to go down anyway

If your agent drops you, you've done something fairly dodgy, especially if that agent works for that bastion of sporting ideals, SFX.
By the way, the level of bias in this thread is shameful. Its a simple enough topic. Stop defending people from your own club just out of partisanship.

Exactly, that was my point. Nice to hear the United fans singing Andy Cole's name when he came on for Pompey in the second half on saturday by the way.
As regards "non-celebrations" you have to admire Robbie Keane as well: even though his goal scoring celebrations are normally flambuoyant, the whole cartwheeling firing an arrow thing, whenever he has scored against one of his former clubs he has never celebrated as far as I know. This statement will, I am sure, be forensically examined by the "SFI" hence the "as far as I know."

Yeah He got hammered for it (if you pardon the pun) but i don't think there was much in it, he admitted as much himself
It would be like Ronaldo wearing a Boco Juniors training top walking around Manchester

Agreed.
He tried to blame his agent then as well, saying something like "I was going on my holidays and my agent told me to pose for the picture so that it could be released to the press while I was on holiday when he (the agent) had wrapped up the deal."
No wonder the hammers fans call him Judas.

Shearer's gone nuts at Blackburn (Nazi salute swapped for Klinsmann dive)
Sutton's gone mental at Blackburn after scoring too.
Lua Lua went absolutely postal v Newcastle and more recently Kenny Miller v the unwashed.

Don't know what the circumstances were with Shearer and Sutton but Lua Lua was deemed not good enough and not hungry for the barcodes i think
The circumstances are important but a bit of class is what we expect
Jose was a lot more in his rights to be running down the pitch after Porto's draw in OT cause his team WON the tie, at Barca last week it was for a draw
Paul Ince was for a draw too, its different if it had matterd that much to his present club who were playing for fuck-all
How is it the greatest non celebration of all time? Because it was United involved?
because he looked as if they'd taken all the puppies he'd ever had in his life and torched them all slowly before extracting all their nails with a pliers.
..followed by a whole host of other unpleasantries.
It's the anti-Ince.

Both got pelters off the Blackburn crowd considering they got a lot of money and good service off the two of them. Sutton also buoyed by the "Men against Bhoys" comments from the Beast.
Lua Lua shouldn't even have been playing that game as he was on loan - Newcastle stupid not to insert a clause.

I believe Keane was perfectly within his rights to change his mind.
He had the full intentions of playing for Blackburn after talking to Kenny, ..Alex stepped in and pursuaded him. Alex said, 'have you signed yet?', 'no'
, 'well just tell him you changed your mind'
To Roys credit he rang Kenny up and explained his about turn and took the abuse on the phone. ..It's tough, but so's life.
Generally, I would consider Roy Keane to be an honourable individual.
Of course he had the option to change his mind.
But he didn't keep his word. That's all i wanted to know
Examples?
You overreacted to the Keane thing. One of the Liverpool lads also immediately came out and defended Ince. I find it all very predictable and boring.

hehe, honour and soccer in the same sentence, hehe
Exactly, that was my point. Nice to hear the United fans singing Andy Cole's name when he came on for Pompey in the second half on saturday by the way.
As regards "non-celebrations" you have to admire Robbie Keane as well: even though his goal scoring celebrations are normally flambuoyant, the whole cartwheeling firing an arrow thing, whenever he has scored against one of his former clubs he has never celebrated as far as I know. This statement will, I am sure, be forensically examined by the "SFI" hence the "as far as I know."
..and he's got a lot of former clubs
United generally have a lot of appection for former players, ...even the rubbish ones, ..Ralphie etc... there's a good old boys network, ..'once a red always a red' to paraphrase Rooney.
other than Ince, it's hard to think of another United player so disliked, ...it makes Ince's reaction at the Kop the act of a lunatic. ....he tarnished some good years at United in a bullshit attempt to perhaps sway over his new supporters.
...either that or he was rattled by the wizard calling him a 'big-time charlie' and completely lost the run of himself.

Fair enough as fans we are biased and defensive by nature but I still don't think Keane had any affinity to Blackburn
You've got to remember that those instigating the Keane thing have a bigger agenda than anyone

Paul Ince.
First, for the way he left West Ham for Man United, and secondly, for the way he celebrated scoring in front of the Kop for Liverpool after equalising for them against United in (I think it was) the 98-99 season.
Still, I have happier memories from 1994. At Upton Park, Ince gets the barracking off his life before scoring to complete United's comeback from 2-0 down in the last minute, thus shutting the 'Ammers up proper.

AFAIK his wasn't the goal that put United down. Either it was another in the same game, or, I think more likely, results elsewhere that confirmed United's relegation.
Never had any problem with Schmeichel or Cole turning out for the Liars in the twilight of their careers, personally.

Luis Enrique was fully justified in giving the Spanish equivalent of 'Up yours!' to the Bernebéu faithful after scoring the clinching goal for Barca in a 3-2 win in 1997. Then again, I guess Incey could say the same. The difference is, he ended up looking like a fool once the dust settled.

Yeah considering he celebrated the fact that he would have been stopping united winning the league when in fact that point helped them to win it. His old team mates winning the treble and him being shipped out on a free transfer. Shame

Firstly. rivalries created by beer companies don't count. ;)
And wasn't Fowler pretty much forced out of Liverpool by Houllier. All this PC stuff about not celebrating against your former club is getting out of hand. Sure, it's a nice jesture but that's all it is. I wouldn't start labelling players as turncoats for celebrating a goal no matter where it is

wouldn't have Law down as a turncoat. He never played club football again after that, didn't take any pleasure from the fact he scored and overall, relegation was not down to that goal alone as other results went against United anyway

Fatty Ronaldo- 1996/97 Barcelona. "I love this club" said fatty Ronaldo, days before buying out his contract and fucking off to Milan "I feel we can have many successes in the years to come."
1997-2002 Internazionale. Signed for a world record fee, he proceeds to spend the best part of four years (on a world record salary) on the treatment table. Loooking fit and ready to make a comeback at the 2002 World Cup: "I love this club with all my heart. [Club president and eccentric multi-millionaire] Massimo Moratti is like a father to me. I will do everything to repay the faith he has shown in me throughout this difficult period." One Golden Boot later, he famously showed his gratitude by promptly scarpering off to Madrid as soon as his legs were able to carry his by-now portly figure, engineering a move for less than his market value.
2002-2007: Mixed times at Real Madrid. Loads of goals initially; loads of fried chicken washed down by buckets of coca cola in Madrid eateries stun the locals. The goals dry up, the fans begin to turn on him. Capello decides to make him a scapegoat.
2007: Decides to return to Milan. Not to Inter though; Instead he joins AC. 3 games into his time there, with 30,000 whistles distrubuted by Inter ultras, he opens the scoring in the Milan Derby, making the "I can't hear YOU!" gesture in the general direction of the Inter faithful.

Pretty good one. He'd probably line up for Argentina if he could and it suited him to be honest. I expect a short spell at Celtic to wind down his career followed by an even briefer spell at Rangers.......... keep the pattern going like. Class player though in my opinion and I stand by my statement that I think he'll be the top scorer in Italy next year barring a serious injury. -AmadeusDC-
