Anyone ever been there. Would you recommend it for a piss up just for a weekend?

Its good craic, their accent can be annoying though, plenty of riding to be done. Plenty of English slags who love the Irish accent

I was there a few months back, savage spot. Head for Buffolo Joes, the Baja beach club across the road, Sea nightclub on the quays. Call to the Pitcher and Piano on the riverside, lovely bar with savage talent. Be sure to pay a visit to For Your Eyes Only gentlemans club! it stays open till about 5 in the morning, ideal for when ya come out of a night club!

I used to live there and I would say the places recommended above are by far the tackiest places in Britian or Ireland. Good for a laugh I suppose just don't expect any good music or tact. Pure unadulterated moron shit really

Newcastle has two sides to it. If you want the sort of Riordans/Reds/Classic business then head to the places listed already and also the bigg market area, the talent there really has to be seen to be believed, miniskitrs no jackets, with a gale blowing off the North Sea not a bother. These areas are what they are.
If you wan a couple of groovy little gaffs with a nice vibe then definitely check out th Trent House. Its up on leazes place next to the university. Beautiful soul bar, superb music. Also the Head of Steam across from the Train Station is fairly cool. The crown Posada is a lovely spot too, lots of real ale and characters. As far as clubbing goes the World Headquaters is far and away the best spot in town check out its website http://www.theworldheadquar ters.com/ its class. Aside from getting pissed the Baltic Gallery is well worth a visit, its a converted flour mill, unbelieveable views.
Its a good city all round though, people are a1, nice archeticture, cheap.
Cold though.

According to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle Metro Edition on June 24th 2005 ... " the most popular tattoo amongst young women in the Tyneside area at the moment appears to be a one-way street sign at the base of the spine - pointing downwards. "
Need I say any more.
I'm on my way.......

Head down to the Quayside (Tuxedo Princess is that way), Bigg Market is the site for a guaranteed ride, there is a Blu Bambu to make you feel at home. Learn some Sid the Sexist comments, like 'tits oot' 'd'ya like chicken pet, suck me cock it's fowl' etc etc....

When I was there I pulled a tastey chavette, she had 'bitter' tattooed on one tit and 'mild' on the other, needless to say I had quite a good nosh on em. She also had a rolled up pack of old holburn and some rizzla's tucked in the top of her skirt, 'would you like a drink', 'Aye pet a bottle a dog, reet canny'...
