Hoover Dam - I would suggest getting out to Reno and Lake Tahoe if possible - it is a long way but Vegas is not the most beautiful town. Lot of fun though.

get as drunk as possible, get picked up by cops who steal your money and throw you in the drunk tank, skip bail to fly home and get yourself banned from the states for the rest of your life.
don't do that.

Dont waste your time going to the Hoover Dam. Fly up to the Grand Canyon and you'll fly over the dam. Bring some winter clothes as it may be snowing up around the Canyon, also at nigh tin Vegas it gets pretty cold. DO NOT play roulette. The house advantage is huge. The legends show at the Imperial Palace is good entertainment. Give the usher thiry or forty bucks and you're guarenteed a good seat. Otherwise you will be given a seat up front next to the stage with all the other hicks.

Break every rule.
Every

one.
And don't sober/straighten up till you've left.
I'm going back in Jan.
Can't wait.

Go to the Voodoo Lounge on top of the Rio. Great view at night. YOu'd be partying on the 51st floor, open area, and your backdrop is the lights of the Vegas strip.
