Ferries from Dublin

I'm livin in Dubland and was thinking of going for a weekend somewhere via ferry. Obvioulsy Isle of Man or Holyhead would be the easiest. Not really interested in sights or driving. Has anyone been to Holyhead or any towns around there, or anywhere on the Isle of Man? Any bit of nightlife there?

Holyhead itself is a dump of the highest order. However, it can be the gateway to some spectacular scenery and outdoors life in North Wales. There's a decent adventure sports scene starting to develop there.

That said, it's not really an area for nightlife.

For towns in the general area, Caernarfon is probably the pick as a base for seeing it.
