I know you get it in the Canaries, Morrocco and Tunisia, but they're expensive to get to and I'm really looking for a 4 day weekend trip, so I don't want the flights to be too pricey.
Anyway, what would the south of Spain, Sicily or Sardinia be like at that time of year? Is there still a chance of sun and warmth or should I just pay the extra?

Turkey?
I'm going to Valencia this weekend, sunny and 27C on friday last time I looked...
Maybe somewhere like Sicily?
Or Granada. Pretty far south, an hour from Malaga and an amazing city.
Even if the weather is crap, there's loads to do there. You might just even be able to go skiing in the Sierra Nevadas which are about an hour away....

fly into Malaga, head south towards Nerja or Estapona (about 1 hr drive). Unless you are really unlucky you should have 20+ temperatures everyday. If you do head down that way, hire a car and visit Alhambra palace in Granada, its well worth the drive. Good Luck. If your having trouble pm me and i'll help you out.

the valencia region will get cold from the start of november. as the winter went on last year, the place was snowed in around christmas in some parts.

This page from the Beeb's weather site gives the top ten winter sun destinations. Not many are short-pocket friendly! However, it does give the warning that Spain in November is quite risky weather-wise.

Thanks
Portugal would look like a good option if I hadn't just returned from there...
Otherwise they are all quite longish haul.
But I don't want to do that for a short period.
Oh well
