the cathedral in the centre of the city( st. vincents i think) put on a good tour of the history and artists of the church.it also boasts to have the 'holy grail'. there's an irish bar next to the church(cant think of the name).i had a pint bottle of magners with ice on a very hot day in there. it went down nicely.

Twas very good. Was staying right next to the Ciudad De Les Artes Y Ciences, great view. Unfortunately the booking was fucked up by either the hotel or the booking company so it took up quite a bit of time sorting it all out.

Of course it wasn't half long enough, for example, we didn't have much time to explore the town during the day or have proper paella. As an aside on that, they're very strict about the 2-4pm rule for lunch on that.

The Calle De Cabelleros is a great little area, Bar Pillar was a top notch tapas gaf, there were queues out the door to get a seated table there.

Aqua De Valencia, the local drink is well strong and myself and herself were pretty smashed after a pitcher of it. Barrio Del Carmen is very nice, a real buzz about the place, and loads of great bars. I can't quite remember the name of most of them though...

The aquarium in the city of arts and sciences was very good, and the dolphin show was well impressive. Might throw up some pictures tomorrow.

Taxis were very cheap, I only paid more than €10 to get to the airport and that was it. In fact, we didn't take any public transport and took taxis the whole time.

We also wanted to rent bikes to go along the old river bed, but of course, we ran out of time. Spent 4 hours in the aquarium, which took up a lot of time but was worth it.

Oh and bought a whole load of Cava at the airport, only €5 a bottle for some good stuff, although if I had gone again, I would have picked up a lot more in the centre of town as the selection and prices in the airport weren't great.

actually lived in Valencia last year for a month. Great city. Make sure you go down to the nightclub by the beach- Vivir sin dormir it's called which translates as "living without sleeping". Place doesn't close til 8 or 9 am but it's outdoor so tis class.
The ciudad de las artes y ciencias is very good. worth the visit and the aquarium too.
A lot of good hotel deals out by the Ciudad de las Artes which is often referred to as the new city and modern trendy place to be. Place looks good but not much to do at night out there.Wouldn't suggest staying out there as it is a bit out. Try to get a place near the centre. Was there again this year for the tomato fight in nearby bunol. Stayed in a 4 star hotel dimar husa. Think it only cost 25 quid a night each for a twin room. Very good location.
go to Calle Caballeros (Gentleman's street :)) to kick off the night.
If u r there in the Summer, there's a great beach just 15 mins from the city centre.
A great time to go is in march for the Las Fallas festival. Basically they spend the year building huge floats and then they just set fire to them. Looks class.
Overall, Valencia is a great city to visit.
