Slips behind in the championship. Schumi drove a great race, and the Renault team didn't do themselves any favours, but I can't see Alonso losing the drivers title.
The Renault will be faster in the next two races unfortunately for Ferrari.
I'd love to see Schumacher retiring as world champion.

He should keep the long shots down to when it's on and concentrate on putting in the strikers.
Anyway, Alonso drove well, it was a crap decision by the team- hardly his fault.

It gets me every time as well.
2 to go. Alonso did well on both tracks last year.
I hope Alonso can retake it, ...what odds Schumi taking him out twice?
It would bring a lot of attention to the sport. ...and don't think it wouldn't cross his mind.
I think I might tune in to a race for the first time in years.

Schumacher, who retires from the sport at the end of the season, said: "The drivers' championship is over because I don't want to go to Brazil hoping someone else retires, that's not the way I want to win a championship.

First time in five years that the Ferrari engine let go.
I'm gutted.

Ya, he would rather be leading and have the opportunity to take Alonso out of the race!
Im delighted with the result, well done to Alonso and Renault. The really pulled that race pace out of the bag, I mean they made up the gap with the Bridgestone's and Alonso with only 1 new set of Tyres for the race compared with Schumi's 3 sets. The pace they showed in catching Schumi put the Ferrari under sufficient pressure for it to break.

I'm devestated that Schumacher retired like that yesterday. He deserves the championship this year. Alonso was such a crybaby after Italy.
Shame to see a legend like Schumachers, one of the best ever, career end like this.
