Is it true that most girls would prefer not to go on holiday the week they are on their period?

Its just that i have a weeks vacation and plan to spring a surprise but if this is going to get in the way then i'm not sure.

You know what girls are like perse. I would think that it must me uncomfortable to me swimming and sitting around the pool under those circumstances.

Will just have to wait until we receive a response from a girl i suppose.

As I've stated before I'm always surprized when "that time of the month" comes around so I would say just go for it or take birth control pills during your holiday to keep the curse at bay.
My worst experience of being caught with the painters was on a transatlantic flight, highly medicated, and employing the hand towels in the loo. But in 30 years of this joke of mother natures if that's the worst, with all the traveling I do, I've nothing to complain about.

Surely a big part of a really good foreign holiday with your girlfriend should be shagging on every surface of the hotel room?

For this reason alone, it should be postponed unless you get a guarantee of one clear day's run at it.

I never see why this is a problem either. She can postpone her period by taking two packets of smarties together. Sounds a better ider to me than cancelling the holiday

why would some one cancel thier holiday because of a period????? i've got mine a couple of times before i went on holiday, sure it was uncomfortable on a nine hour plane journey, but i certainly wasnt going to cancel my trip.

The way i see it is if a girl goes on holiday then she would definately want to go for a dip in the pool and be able to lay beside the pool and feel comfortable doing so.

If the painters are in then that rules out the sex also.

I'm thinking this could be a bad idea.

As its a surprise i cant ask her to go on the pill to prevent her from getting her period for she is going to know that something is wrong.

Well, worst case scenario she should only have it for half of the holiday, or if it starts before ye leave or towards the end of the holiday, even less.

I say go for it, it's unlikely to be an issue.

Fair enough, sex would be off the agenda on those days, but ye can do other stuff and then really make the most of it once the painters have left ;)

Swimming, sun-bathing, etc. while having your period is not ideal but for me it's no more than a minor inconvenience, definitely not something I would forego a holiday for.

They usually arrive towards the end of the month. She will be 30 on the 27th of October so i want to take her away for a week as a surprise for her birthday.

I have already asked her boss if she could have that week off and its no problem (she doesnt know about this like).

I also have that week off, i just dont want to go ahead and do but for her not to enjoy herself.

It's all been said before. If she really suffers badly from Biddy Rua (as I like to call my time of the month), then she more than likely is going to be like a drip (ahem) for the week of your hols. BTW, I find it strange that you don't know whether or not she suffers during her period? Does she wear sanitary towels or does she use tampons? If tampons, she'll be grand in the water. I think the majority of the girlies on the board couldn't give fucks whether they had their period or not while on holidays. Then again, the sex life won't be that mind blowing either...

Well, I got the painters when I was on hols in Thailand - my friends had said before I went out "oh ignore people who say you can't get tampons out there, you can buy them all over the place now"...

Hmmm... I knew it was due, so I started looking for them a few days in advance. None in Bangkok at all. Of all those little shops and big shops. No fucking tampons. I looked in about 10 shops in Phuket as well, and finally found some tiny non-app ones just in time for the arrival of the time of the month.

I swam every day, it actually alleviates any discomfort, and I can assure you it didn't spoil my hols. And if I'd been with the same guy since 1997, then I'd have thought that a bit of blob wouldn't get in the way of sex by now either!!!
