Can you fit almost any car seats to any car, with a mit of modification?

I want to fit leather seats from a BMW or GOLf to a golf cabriolet

If you're willing to do the work then you pretty much can. Ideally get them from a higher spec version of your own and there should be no bother. I put a set of Renault 19 saloon leather seats into my old clio no bother. An afternoons work if you know what you're doing

I couldn't see how going from golf to golf cabriolet would be a problem but I wouldn't risk putting a different manufacturer's seats in. Could effect saftey and insurance. If the seat mountings came loose in an accident and they found out they were another manufacturer's seats it'd probably void your insurance, or at the very least, you wouldn't get any compensation. If you want really up-market seats just get them out of a passat.

golf cabriolet - it doesn't matter what seats you have its still heavily gay - wasn't it in germany where the mark 2 pink cabriolet was called the funboy?
