a bit girlie alright unlike the old shape MR2 which had a practical boot. They are making small enough money now 00's for 14k. try and buy one with a hardtop and they have very little room, no boot and just a small storage compartment under the bonnet and space behind the seats which you need toyota bags for to fit anything decent! Impractical on space but fun enough car to drive

yes they go for small money because they aren't a patch on the old MR2 - the old MR2 turbo is some car to go. also a very limited run of beams engines in them if you can find one, the new one is awfully hairdresser

True, I'd still want it, though. Maybe only as a Sunday-morning backroad toy but after I tuned it to give decent power output. Wouldn't buy one with a hard-top though. What's the point then? It's not the most practical car anyway so it's only a summer car.

That's the thing. I think it's very easy to dismiss anything 2 seater that isn't mad money as girly.

Sports car. Not a roadster. Roadsters are MX-5s, Barchettas, Copens, MG-TFs. Small engined(by this I might not very powerful)and 2 seater-convertibles. The Lotus Elise 1.8 is the only manly roadster out there I'd say. And that's by everyone's standards. I see nothing wrong with either an MX-5 or MR2.

what????? is this your own definition honda even refer to the s2000 as a roadster, a roadster is any front or mid engined car with rear wheel drive, originally without side windows but these days is any two seater convertable sports car.
S2000 is most definitely a roadster and for the record a lotus elise would be a more of a "sports car" than an s2000. SL 55 amg could be called a roadster, the crossfire is a roadster, the Z4 is a roadster, the 350z convertable is a roadster

never let it go well unless its the standard one and you are offered a turbo. new one is pants old one is class. why oh why did they decide we didn't want good performance cars any more? At least VW finally noticed the mistake they made and upped the power in the golf gti
