Hoping someone could help me out here. I have a 02 Almera, with a KY reg :( , and the radio is goosed. I brought it to that AV crowd down by RTÉ and they have had it for 120 days waiting for a part!

Anybody know any good car audio repair places that might have second hand parts or might be able to get a part of their suppliers in less than 120 days because I am going mental in the car without a radio.

Went to the two Nissan garages around and Windsor said they send all repairs to AV and Kevin O'Learys just said they replace radios. A new radio would cost me around €500 because they are mouldy units or moulded units or something.

Apparently it's the laser in the CD changer that is messed up if that makes a blind bit of difference.

Getting p***ed off now . Will be a long drive to Dublin for the matches without a shagging radio!

You can go into any Car accessory shop and you can get a new radio bought and fitted for around €240 there way better than the shite that they put into the car at the factory. A sony or a Pioneer one would be ideal. You would also need a facia plate and a ISO lead to make it fit. they cost about €20 each. Don't get it done in the garage cause they will cost you a bomb on Labour and stuff.

Problem solved :silly:

I presume by ISO lead you mean the cable for the remote on the steering wheel? I was looking for them and I couldn't find one for €20. Went to a few places. Most only had the ISO lead for Sony Radios.

Any idea where i might get one for €20?

I'll get a price for ya tomorrow. You could buy a very decent JVC cd radio for 200 all in I'd say. That's fascia, ISO and fitting included.

It's probably a multiplex wiring system so if it's not done exactly right, it'll make shit of your whole electric system. I've seen cars with multiplex wiring develop possesed windows and sunroofs among other things.
