2,500 isn't a quarter of a million

You're thinking of the American million.

liam2me

You're thinking of the American million.
there is only one kind of million (1,000,000) a quarter of which is 250,000.

2,500 is a quarter of ten thousand. simple sums

or am i missing out on some kind of joke from that boys oh boys thread?

it's definitely not as simple as liam2me is claiming anyway.

The billion thing is more straightforward - here it's 10,000,000 and in America it's 1,000,000,000,000.

pico nano milli etc are all derevitations of a thousand
millimeter is 1/1000 of a meter

For the first time I've found the boysohboysohboysohbo ysohboys humour funny. Haven't read all the fuckin thread, eh, but the 1/4 million thing was witty and the "never kept a record of it". Am I mellowing, is it old age, the Riesling? Who knows=

Thanks Carmona, this is the kind of thing that makes our jobs worthwhile!

Double response here. No Tucker, the 2003 Riesling, the very hot summer. Not too bad at all. And Vince, fuck off.
