Zidane getting sent off......
Unsure if this has been done here already but reading on F365 that Zidane cost France the world cup.
My take on this is it would have stuttered on for another 10 minutes, gone to spotters and we'd have the same outcome with or without him.
Any differing opinions?

Zidane would have been first choice penalty taker and probably would have scored. However, it's unlikely that Trezeguet would have been dropped from the list of five takers, so probably it would have made no difference.

Henry would have taken one too but he was taken off. Don't think it affected it at all to be honest. Totti would also have taken one.

it was psychological
Henry, Viera and Zidane suddenly gone must have given a huge lift to the Italians-the manager is a bit stupid anyway though

I did wonder why he took off Henry when he did. He was looking tired, but you'd have kept him on because it was likely to be heading for penalties.
Even though he scored, I knew France were going to lose when I saw Sylvain Wiltord taking a penalty...
