If a Garage dents your car while its in their possesion (no matter how small the dent) they are still liable for compensation. Arent they? They said they are not going to fix the dent as it would entail spraying the whole panel. But they are not even going to compensate me. Do i have a case to bring to the consumer agency?

yeah or the small claims court.
you may need proof that it was not there beforehand though.
or a witness to that fact.

always a good tip to take a few snaps of your car before turning it in

Who would ever take snaps of their car before handing it in to get fixed?? In fairness. I might possibly think about it next time though.
I always think its a really good idea to know your mechanic as well as your GP!
I only trust the one guy to do all my car services / fixes and i know he'll never screw me over now that we know each other well!
