Rules basically say that you're allowed to bring on a temporary substitute whilst a player is being treated for a blood injury and that this substitute will come off when the originally injured player is good to resume play. So the same player is replaced, on both counts (the blood injury with the temp sub).

I don't know the ins and out of the game you're referring to but in a fervent lunchtime discussion I heard that the problem was that yer man went off for treatment and a blood sub came on. When yer man was all patched up, it was a different lad that came on instead of yer man. That would generally be seen as a normal substitution, of which there are 5 as you know.

And they're deciding whether steamed milk or warmed milk makes a better cup of hot choc.
