Bowyer would be a good signing for West Ham.On the pitch maybe but how long 'til his lack of brain tissue gets the better of him again? Is it worth having a character like that at your club? I think not.

I *think* he's a West Ham fan and did them a decent turn last time round. I don't think Bowyer is that much of a ruffian to be honest. Fair enough he's had a chequered past but there's not been much in the papers in his time at Newcastle besides the Dyer punch up and to be honest if I could choose one of them to punch it would be Dyer.
Granted he's no Mary Poppins but who is? I'm sure his boss at West Ham has enough about him to keep him in line, if even he needs to be kept in line.

As for rumours:
Celtic might be signing Kadlec the U21 Czech left back. Nico Krancjar is also being eyed and a €4M deal was agreed with the club only for his agent to step in and ask for this to be changed to £4M at which point Celtic pulled out.
As well as that, apparently Quinton Fortune is in Glasgow in talks.

Granted he's no Mary Poppins but who is? I'm sure his boss at West Ham has enough about him to keep him in line, if even he needs to be kept in line. He's had a major incident at every club he's been with - Charlton (Coke), Leeds (assault) and Newcastle (fighting on pitch). Sure he keeps his head down for a while but in the long run he doesn't seem to be able to control himself. I just don't think he's the kind of player a club like West Ham (strong spirit and team ethic with good pros) should be aspiring to.

He was at West Ham for 6 months before signing for Newcastle.Yeah, just checked it there. You're right. I'd forgotten about it. Doesn't change my opinion though.
Ironically, I'm listening to a house tune at the moment called "People don't change"!

I think there's an edit timeout.
Wasn't he acquiitted of assault but guilty for affray? To be honest, I think it was Woodgate whose involvement was the worse of the two in the nightclub incident though because of Bowyer's style of play.
I'm not saying he's an angel but he's not the antichrist either

Wasn't he acquiitted of assault but guilty for affray?I don't think he was convicted of anything but he was definitely involved in the incident in some way.

There's a thread somewhere on the music forum of them pilled up and scoring with each other
It's not only the sports forum that goes off onto these diversions
