Picking up from today's examiner, which factor do you think is more important, and if you were motivating the players which would you use?

Quest to beat the cats again and cement their reputations as a truly great team. A few days after last years all-ireland Brian Corcoran was talking about the three in a row...There's your answer...

Ah yes, Cyril Farrell, Pete Finnerty, is there any limit to the spite they bear to Cork hurling? Christ, they make Pit Spillane lookpositively magnanimous

I like farrell, created an outstanding galway team on the 80's, and is pretty fair minded in his analysis. You're right on Finnerty, a bitter bitter man

I think Farrell is one of the more fair guys in the game.

To be fair to Farrell, you couldn't doubt his passion for hurling. Himself and Marty Morrisey were commentating on the Tipp v Clare game down de pairc a few years ago (2001-02 IIRC) and there was a bit of a barney before the throw in, the ref takes two players aside and books them both. This before the game had even begun! Anyway, Marty was all "Oh, this is terrible, it sends out a very poor image.." and all that gas wheras the boul' Farrell kind of wheedles, "Ah now Marty, this is championship hurling, tis no place for boys". Legendary.
Len Gaynor is hilarious becuase he's so completely and obviously one-eyed .

With the age of the Cork side, besides Corcoran maybe, this championship should be nothing other than a quest for success. Some of them have matured while others are now cornerstones. A lot depends on injury but I would hope there's enough about them to make it 3 in a row.

He'll be back to his best I hope. Every player will have to be on there game this year, Cork are up there to be knocked by everyone. Every county would like to be the ones to stop a three in a row.

Jaysus yeah! I'd totally forgotten his "as such" prelediction. Does anyone know who'll be doing the raaaadio coverage on Sunday? Please JEEESUS not that twat Brian Cawrthy. His voice drives me fuggin' spare. To be honest, Micheál Ó Muireheartaigh pisses me off too. God, but he loves the sound of his own voice

by the sounds of this year's illustrious captain, sounds like dear of failure is on their minds.
i hope not.
but i've not heard him talking positively about the team & it's collective stance going into the championship so far.
i hope that changes.
sunday will be a barometer for them but i think they'll slip back into gear and maintain the pressure on an clar. we have a seasoned team.
