Riquelme has been left out by Argentina (provisionally) while Davids and Makkay are not deemed good enough for the Dutch

I thought he was in that prov. squad that was posted up by somebody on here the other day.
Davids... not deemed good enough for the Dutch
That's hardly surprising. He's a shadow of a shadow... and so on!

I'd say he got mixed up between Riquelme and Tevez.

He was involved in a game against Real Madrid on Sunday and that is why he was not in the provisional squad.
I believe a few of Inter's players were left out also as they had a game on Sunday.

Sorry my bad the pricks at Sky called it as "Riquelme is left out of the Argentina Squad" and didn't elaborate
It would have been amazingly stupid
Anyway, My apologies

I don't think Tevez is going be left out either, seeing as he's a cert for the starting 11. It's only a provisional 16. But what the hell is Scaloni doing there?Even West Ham fans know he's rubbish - Ferdinand (a centre-back) keeping him out of the team.

It looks like there is no place for Aguero either. I suppose Argentina already have enough boy wonders for one team. Its a shame tough, he would have been good to watch.

Horses for courses..........I can remember a number of South Americans being crap in the Premiership and excellent elsewehere and for their respective nations e.g. Forlan and Veron. The Argie coach must see something in him like. -AmadeusDC-

Nando can have no complaints- there's not much call for a non-scoring striker.
No Giuly is just bananas.

I think i saw Stam dislocate his shoulder in a game that was on Gol TV here recently. Took a bad tumble over Dida when shielding a ball from an attacker. pretty sure that's why he is out..........or maybe Wilfred Bouma has just been class at Villa!! -AmadeusDC-

No team with the likes of Darren Bent in their ranks could be taking sersiously as world cup contenders. Then again- you might say the same about Peter Crouch.

Ya, but at least Crouch has that freakish height which makes him potential useful in moments of desperation. I'd honestly rather bring on a Fowler or even an Andy Cole when in desperate need of a goal than Darren bent. Just doesn't yet have that spark IMO. -AmadeusDC-
