Declan Kidney's made a total of nine changes to the starting 15 that played the Ospreys on Friday

Paul O'Connell remains amongst the side's injury concerns, but is likely to be fit for the Heineken Cup final against Biarritz on Saturday week, but the injury-plagued Christian Cullen could be out for the rest of the season

Id say thats the end of Cullen at Munster. Hes unlikely to be offered a new contract in the summer.

Apparantly he's been offered a 6 month pay-as-you-play contract for next season.

Would be good value, although Cullen might have to dip into his savings....

dont think he'd sign a pay as you play when he can get full contact in the Zurich or France. Signing players that are past their peak from the SH would need to be nipped in the bud thats Cullen, Pitout, Pusey (never had it) to name a few. Owen Finegan just got released from Newcastle as well. Might have been better off getting Latham that time.

I dunno, he has something to prove to Munster fans. There was a good article in the tribune about him on sunday.

I reckon he might stay on.

I dont know Munster might be better off using the contrace money on some centers and a full back like Barry Murphy isnt going to come steam rolling back in.

But if they're paying him as he plays, then it's fair enough. I still think he's got a bit left him.

He has been unfortunate in fairness.

He has give him his dues but he came over with the injury as well, sure there's not many others they can get to replace him.

i disagree. A few seasoned pros like himself (and Langford, Williams...) can add to the development of youngsters. They can learn off someone who has been the absolute best in the world and get the backup of a good performer in the CL.
If he's on a pay for play, it's a win win for Munster. You can't say he's keep ing good young players out of the team, if they're good enough, they'll play. He's injured enough to give them a chance anyway!

as apposed to halstead or payne who have been great workhorses this season in fairness. but we really do need to bring on our own young lads

I see what your saying but a few more players need to be brought in first especially in regard to wings, centers and backs and possibly even scrumhalf if they start playing TO'L on the wing with Frank Murphy gone.

ya well they weren't big name signings in fairness you can also list langford and williams as well with Dowling one of the wings is secure it'd be good to bring one or two more through.

Kearney??? Sure why not ask for BOD altogether ;)

Naw, apparently Cheika is not a bit pleased about potentially losing Lewis and is doing his best to block any move.

There are a number of young backs in Munster who are starting to produce at club level. Gerry Hurley at Garryowen and Denis Hurley (starting at FB tonight) as well as Conan Doyle and a number of others. It's time to start blooding these players. Christ knows they can't be any worse than some of the ill-advised signings Munster have made in the past....

WRT Cullen, there are conflicting reports about his availability. He may be back for the final, but I doubt it. JK is almost certainly out and Hendo is 50-50. It could well be TOL in the centre yet...

Tonight's game will be interesting with TOL at 13 and Mossie Lawlor (a player who's deserved better from Munster) at 12. The game is on S4C so anybody with a Skybox will be able to pick it up

I wonder if they'll show it down the pub.

They probably will actually.

Well there won't be any football on so I reckon so. Get them to put on the subtitles if possible as it'll all be in Welsh

Cullen fails to make the squad, huge surprise.
